| Movie Haiku: | Beautiful images aren't enough: the "first encounter" between European explorers & Native Americans deserved better. Farrell's a total bore as John Smith; Kilcher's Pocahontas does better once Bale arrives as husband John Rolfe. Ironically, their trip back to England is this film’s highpoint. And why WAGNER in the soundtrack?!?!? Urgh!!! |
