| | Movie Haiku: | F. Scott Fitzgerald short story stretched to unreasonable length & framed as a really dumb flashback occuring just as Katrina bears down on New Orleans. Pitt plays Benjamin, someone born old who get younger everyday, just as his lady love (Blanchett) ages. Some nice bits but not enough. Heavy on CGI & special effects; short on genuine emotion & character depth. |
