Movie Haiku:Set in Philly in 1976 (the summer of America''''''''s Bicentennial), Hamilton''''''''s first feature is about two ex-Black Panthers trying to honor the past as they move forward into the future. Washington is now a lawyer raising a daughter (Griffin) alone. Mackie was her husband''''''''s best friend--a militant gunned down by the police. Lot of ambition for its 90-min low budget runtime!
