| Movie Haiku: | Fukunaga version of this Victorian classic has a superlative visual design completely committed to austere authenticity. Moira Buffini screenplay also sticks closer to novel than most film adaptations, with St. John Rivers (Bell) as a legitimate rival to Mr. Rochester (Fassbender) for Jane's affections. Wasikowska is wonderful as Jane but alas there is a chemistry problem. |
