Movie Haiku:True star of this famous film adaptation is cinematographer George Barnes(nominated for Oscar 8 times). Like REBECCA (his Hitchcock-helmed Oscar-winner), this is B&W classic is so beautiful & richly imagined that it soars above 97 minutes of over-the-top acting (especially by Wells as Mr. Rochester). And Fontaine is all wrong as Jane, but Rich loves her anyway.
