Movie Haiku:Doc traces the life of "Nim Chimpsky." Purchased as an infant by a linguist who wanted to see if an animal could be taught sign language, Nim is treated as fully human as long as he's useful. But to the dismay of daily caregivers, Nim is sold to a medical research facility as soon as he's old enough to have needs of his own. Fascinating ethical issues abound!
