Movie Haiku:Unbelievably ugly film about a family of Texas lowlifes who hire a hit man to pursue an insurance payout. That said, as an adaptation, this is probably as good as it gets. We saw Tracy Letts play (oy!), so we didn't want to watch this, but the acting is terrific & Friedkin made great choices to "open it up" (especially benefiting the Gershon character).
