| Movie Haiku: | Kubrick did 2001 in 1968; now Jonze turns "HAL" into "Samantha"--the Operating System for a new generation. Phoenix plays the geek in an almost-here world who prefers "Sam" (Johansson--heard & never seen)to the embodied women who burden him with their emotional needs. But beautiful visualization turn to mush in the end without enough "there" there to sustain deep thoughts. |
