Movie Haiku:Harsh examination of a large Maori family living in the slums of urban New Zealand. It's a familiar story -- brutal, alcoholic father (Morrison) & stoic, suffering mother (Owen) given cultural weight & specificity. The daughter Grace(Kerr-Bell)is especially touching.
