Movie Haiku:U-Boat prowls the North Atlantic in WWII in one of the all-time great combat films. Prochnow retains his “mask of command” even though he knows the German military is falling behind. The “theatrical release” is taut & terrifying. The “director’s cut” adds an additional hour of character development. Your pick.
