Movie Haiku:Historically-based heart-tugger about 3 Aborigine girls stolen from their mothers & placed in a boarding school over a thousand miles from home by an Australian government functionary (Branagh) in the 1930s. They escape, but the space/time mechanics are murky & the filmmakers’ self-congratulatory self-righteousness undercuts the complexity of the case.
