Movie Haiku:Everything is stacked against them – the music’s oppressive, the sets are embarrassing, & the child actor who plays their son is pure ham – and yet Peck & Wyman still manage to turn in sincere, heart-felt performances as a farmer & his wife living a hard-scrabble life in 19th Century Florida.
