Movie Haiku:Highly intellectual exercise in which von Trier filters Wilder’s classic OUR TOWN thru a [Bertold] Brechtian theatrical screen. Surprise! It actually works -- thanks to the combination of excellent performances, highly evocative sets, & a merciless camera that sees these poor creatures from above like bugs trapped under a glass.
